i just think its another alternative way to charge your ds if you have lost your charger. i wouldnt be surprised if you could, but i dont think the ds has that kind of memory space stored in itself to put songs. perhaps its so you can flash the ds for specific things, such has taking out that warning sign when you turn on the ds, or making it do other things. *warning=flashing may cause the nds to become bricked..

The USB cables are only for charging the DS, nothing else. The DS' power port cannot recieve any data.
