link up extra tv

    elo all ,ive tried linking up a tv in me bedroom from the starview downstairs,the picture is perfect but the sound is bad .i cant hear much if any for a loud hissing/buzzing noise.Any help mucho appreciated and keep up the good work . Oh yea and ive tried all the different ports in back of starview.I heard that the port output isnt that good so tried using a splitter into the input but it didnt like it at all .

    Hi,

    You may be experiencing a signal issue due to the length of your cable from your main feed to the box in your bedroom. I assume you are using a good quality splitter and coax for doing this, and are splitting the main feed using a splitter into 2 feeds.

    Your issue may be resolved by purchasing a variable gain amplifier such as ebay Item number: 310033026631 (Pls note this item is not sold by me or intended as an advertisement)

    Before you spend extra cash, try all your connections and make sure they are a snug fit,including your scart connections. Make sure none of your coax wires are bent or tangled up as this may have an effect also. Do a Power scan using the lowest transponder that you can get a signal on.
