Hey, I have a linksys cable modem (BEFCMU10) Hooked up to a Linksys Wireless B router (BEFW11S4). I am trying to log into the router using 192.168.1.1 and it wont work. It always comes up with an msn search thing. I do not know what to do... I have tried command prompt ipconfig/release and that didnt work. Please help. Thanks a lot.

I am using ie and firefox, neither will work. The only thing that i did recently was that i forwarded ports 80 and also 2302-2303. Does that make a difference? Thanks

there is a reset button on back of the linksys but check with documentation as that should reset to factory settings

Hey, ok... at one of my houses i have the linksys router (BEFW11S4) and at the other one i have a d-link (DI-524) router. I do not have the setup disc for the linksys but i do for the d-link. Would it work if i used the d-link setup disc to re-install the linksys router? Thanks

it is like comparing apples & oranges so don't do it. go to the linksys site to download the software you need

ok, .. well. I talked to linksys and they said that i need to upgrade the firmware. (power, port 4, and internet lights are all flashing) So im supposed to upgrade the firmware, but there are unfortunatley only 2 ways to do that,

1.) Go into router at 192.168.1.1 and upgrade from there (cant do, because cant access it)

2.) Download Code and Software and install from software (wont work either)

I have tried re-installing it but my computer cannot detect it. I know that i have it connected properly. Any suggestions? Thanks and Please help.
