My wireless connection between my upstairs computer and downstairs computer (I have a Linksys Wrt54g router and a Linksys Wireless-G USB Compact Adapter) on my downstairs PC randomly dies and I have to reboot the adapter to get it going again perfectly. This wouldn't be a hassle except for whenever I'm downloading game demos or program demos, Please tell me how to fix my connection from stopping. All I did was run the CD on it, so

Are you using a cell phone, near the computer, when this happens?

No, the connection will just turn off out of nowhere. Do I need to download something or something? I just want to be able to download demos without the internet dying.

It's extremely slow right now, when I first got it I could download all ngiht without it shutting off... what can I do to be able to simultaneoulsy download a large file(s) without the connection dying?

Skaterat, have you narrowed to know if the problem is the usb adapter or the router? Check the adapter with another desktop computer with an available wireless network. I would test with a router/access point that is NOT a Linksys. Check the results and maybe you can pin point the cause of the problem.

    Hope it helps.
