Ok i have searched for hours on how to fix this problem and no luck so i hope someone here can help... I got the mechinstaller and transferred the files to a usb stick that i connected to the xbox (i rigged a connection between an old controller wire and a usb hub.) , and transferred them to the hard drive with no problems. Emergency linux loaded but my laptop wouldn't telnet to it ( i think my laptop's network card is broken ) so i skipped that step and went straight for 'install linux' and it told me 'installation failed, reload dashboard' (or something to that effect). when i reloaded the dashboard the xbox told me my partitions were corrupted or something like that, the dashboard did not reload. what do i do? xbox-linux says that i have to downgrade the dashboard but doesn't say how. Can anyone help.
i don't believe i can ftp to the xbox until i actually have linux running on it but maybe i can... do you know?
