Rite Just got Mandriva Linux im a Big NOOB on linux btw , Just wanted to know when i download stuff for linux sometimes its doesnt have the rite program to pen it with or just doesnt open any reason??? Can someone write a list for the best progarms on linux , or maybe a link thanks
what kind of files are you trying to open? and for the programs didi you want a list of usefull programs in linux or programs to open your downloads
when it asks you what to open your file with, look through your applications and if you see anything that says archiver or archive tool, that is what you should use. if you cant find go to this site http://linuxondesktop.blogspot.com/2007/05/13-things-to-do-on-new-mandriva-free.html then goto #4
