I am looking to install a linux op system on a back up computer. However I am looking for information on being able to burn dvd's. I am currently using dvdcrypter, shrink and nero on "micro-monopoly-soft" windows xp. I am hoping to find something similar that will work both as an op system and be able to burn dvd's and cd's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pete
there is also nero for linux, and gear pro too, but they require buying a licence. there is also k3b burning software. I havent tried any of that software yet. Try Google for some free software
So what's the point of answering if you know nothing about it? nerolinux is bollocks.. very poor attempt at bloatware proprietary software in FOSS world.. Fail! The thread title is hopeless.. yes this is the linux section.. and yes you have a question.. welcome to linux world.. The first thing you need to do is get some flavour of linux installed.. then think about burning disks, because every type of linux/unix has different tools which work best. The choices are vast.. I use k3b. but many people use gnomebaker.
