listen to dreambox through home theatre?

Hi guys, i am using a dm 800 hd and have philips home dvd theatre system, i also had a philips tv and had no problems listening to movies through my home theatre and the basics connections were scart to tv from dvd main unit and hdmi from tv to dreambox, all was perfect. But now i am using a sony tv but cannot get surround sound to work, it will work if i use direct channels tuned to tv but will not work with my dreambox channels, anyone experience this type of problem before??
