I have a liteon drive and I would like to flash it but I am worried so I would like to purchase a second drive and flash that instead. If I purchase a new lite on (same model as current drive) with the same firmware level can i just extract the key from my current lite on and dump it to the new lite on then flash the new drive? If so can someone tell me how

    Thanks

first off what is it you are worried about??? and why buy the same model if the one you have gives you grave concern?

You really need to read up about the lite-on you have and then ask a more structured question with relevant information on your issues.

I think the OP is concerned incase he fusks it up, and therefore has his original drive to fall back on if things go wrong.
To answer the OP, rather than spoofing a new drive straight up, why not buy a replacement, extract the key and such from your current drive, then flash it and if things go wrong you can always use the extracted info to spoof the replacement drive?
Use the latest jungleflasher and the tutorial and you'll be fine, but don't forget to at least buy the via card, trust me it makes the WORLD of difference!!

Thanks the reason I would like to spoof is that I have heard that it is best to spoof first to ensure that it was a proper dump and worst case I just brick the replacement drive.
