    Hey folks. Was searching for firmware to speed up the read speed of this drive. Found this thread at http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=134757 about it. The firmware is located at http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html#SOHD-16P9S for anyone who would like to try it.

    I am currently using it and love it. It gives you user selectable speeds. If you set them too high, it will yoyo with you while reading. It takes experimenting with the speeds to figure out which one works best for you.

    Anyway, I don't know if this is old news or not but I thought I would post it here just in case.
