Alright, i'm unsure if this a minor or major issue with my burner but it use to let me burn all the way down to 2x now it will only let me burn 6x and faster. I tried using different blank DVD-Rs but it doesn't go any slower...

I tried going to the properties and setting the Drive to 2x and it still only lets me burn at 6x and faster.

Is it the drive, the software, or the blank media?

    ^^keep in mind that i'm a dummy.

What blank media are you using? If lots I want a list ;)

What software do you use to burn..?

And, why do you want to burn all the way down to 2x?? As much as burning fast can cuase issues, it's true for burning too slow aswell. I suggest you burn as low as 4x at a puch, and if you use great media, such as, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden, then you can burn up to 12x!

I always used Memorex (for CDs).... then started usin Memorex DVD-Rs in which it could go as slow as 2x then it just stopped.... that's when I went out and got Verbatim DVD-Rs and it still only goes as low as 6x

I use Nero 6 Ultra Edition

Are you saying I can back-up my games with Verbatim at 6x without having issues of the console reading it?
