what would i need to rip xbox or other systems games like PS2 games, software, firmware or hardware and if hardware what should i be looking for?
i have been reading and i can't find anything about specific hardware so i was just trying to cover all my bases before buying a ROM.
If you buy a ROM, you won't be able to burn the games afterwards. Unless you have another burner separate and are looking for a specific ROM to rip games? And i do believe there are some drives better for ripping than others, but you'll have to look hard to find the posts as I can't remember where I was it.
looking as i post here all throughout the the forums and as far as i can see it doesn't say. also i was looking for a rom that would burn games (xbox 360 and PS3) and dvds.
Ok, well then let me clear it up for you... ROM = READ ONLY MEMORY = NO burning capabilities! You want a dvd BURNER = can burn dvds.
S'alright. Read the stickied guide written by me at the top of this forum for an idea of what to look for in a burner. However, i'm not sure if the same applies to hardware when it comes to burning games
ok i read that even before i posted anything and as i have been sifting through the forums it seems that samsung sh-d162c is the only one but that seems kinda weird that only one manufacture would have the capability?
