Hi I bought this burner from Ebuyer.co.uk but it wont work with Discrite or Bulkpaq DVD-R's. The drive wont even pick them up! (No media inserted) The bundled DVD-R & RW work fine so the drive cant be faulty. Anyone else found this?
I sent it back. Waste of money tbh. What good is a DVD burner that doesn't recognise DVD-R's? My advice to anyone is DO NOT BUY LITEON DVD-R DRIVES. I've read a few things about them and it's VERY difficult to find media that works. It's not even as thought I got coasters, the media wasn't even picked up by the drive as a blank.
Please... There are two DVD formats + and -. The Lite-On will work perfectly fine with DVD+R/RW media but will not write DVD-R/RW media as it's a single format DVD+R/RW burner. Next time maybe you should check some facts before buying?
