    Hello everyone,

I am going to apologize in advance for this noob question. I did a search online but could not really find a lot on my issue (maybe I was looking for the wrong thing???). Anyway, I just received my 360 back from M$ due to the E74 error, so it has the new Liteon drive with 83850C firmware. I was using JungleFlasher and was able to get the key dumped successfully. I did it twice with Jungle to ensure I had it right.

When I went to erase the drive my PC froze. At the time I didn't know about removing the RAID drivers. Once they were removed I was able to erase the drive again (The drive would not eject, so I take it the firmware was removed), and then flashed with my spoofed firmware (ix 1.6 83850C version). Once the drive was plugged back into the 360 it only wants to say "Please insert disk into 360". This happens even for the originals.

I really hope that the drive key was correct, as it seems Jungle gets it twice to be sure, and then I ran the process twice keeping both dummy's. I am using JF 1.67 beta btw on a fresh XP install. Also, I was unaware that there was an alternative firmware on the Liteon drive, so I tried to read it like the 7x firmwares (using my probe and CK3 lite). I do not think that it ruined the drive as it still ejects and read disks fine with no error from the 360 other then the above mentioned.

Sorry for the long posting, and again if it is on the noob side.

You may bot of spoofed the drive correctly, try open your original dummy.bin as source, open ix 1.6 as target, click spoof source to target and try again.

    Good luck.

The drive does play regular DVD's just fine. The manufacture date on the drive is August 2009. I am going to try and confirm my key was spoofed right, as well as to just re-flash it and let you guys know what happens.

I am unsure, I believe it was FreeKey. It is the one built into JungleFlasher. JF was the only program I used to dump/erase/flash my key (which as stated I did twice to be certain).

I tried and reflashed the drive with the same result. When I get some more time I am going to try out the 1.5 firmware to see if that will load instead. I read somewhere that going back worked, but when upgraded again it failed. Could there be an issue with LiteOn 83850c and 1.61 iX?
