I havent used my liteon 5005 for a couple of months when i come to watch a programme the disc wouldnt play so i brought some new dvd-rw discs(imation)but they wont record on ive also tried ritek dvd-rw they wont record on either it comes up invalid disc for both set of dvd-rw ive tried using a tuff dvd-r disc to record on and that worked ok does anybody know if my recorder is no good or i need different dvd-rw discs thanks in advance.
The ONLY RW discs that both of my 5005 recorders have NEVER had issues with are the Verbatim DVD+RW discs ... excellent product
my verbatim + R started not loading, giving me the invalid disc message. now the Maxell - R did the same thing after working for a few days, unlike the +R that quit working a few days before. does it get tired of the same discs ? lol any way to fix this problem.
Try using a laser lens cleaning disc on it ... I haven't had mine experience problems using the same discs repeatedly ... I do know, however, that they like +R/RW lots more than -R/RW discs ... and they really likes the +r Maxell ... The darker the dy, it seems the better
