hi all, ive read many posts here, because all of them are pretty old i couldnt as you no reply with my problem thus my topic here. anyway i also have a LITEON SOHW-1633S Firmware version BSOY but im having problems with dvd- media.. nothing in the minus media will read on my machine. here is the nero info tool screenshot i took. Code: http://img25.imageshack.us/my.php?image=neroinfo.jpg it shows dvd- media as listed ok for my drive but no matter what - discs i use they dont run. i only use quality media, sony, verbatim and maxell and normally dvd+ but i have recieved dvd- verbatim and sony discs and none work. im not bothered about burn speeds for the -media as i always burn at 4x on everything i use. and no coasters yet i just want my drive to be able to read and write the dvd- all your help as always is appreciated thanx mick
I have the same drive with the same firmware and use DVD-R just fine. I suspect that your drive is dying.
