ok stupid question

i see 4 different types of OFW for 74850C how do i know which version to choose to flash back to original firmware?

i see orig-74850C-1a000
orig-74850C-1b000
orig-74850C-1c000
orig-74850C-1e000

 

yea i dont like the mra hack i use lizard for it how would i do it to get the new key off

nevermind just read on 360lizard i can still get the keys then i will use jf to reflash

I've done the flash and everythings ok.Popped a copied game in and it recognises it.I was under the impression we had to reburn all games for them to work or is that just for LT2.0? It's a liteon 74850 by the way.

 

awesome job c4eva just done mine flashed back to stock updated, then reflashed new firmware easy job

Only ap25 games won't work they need to be repatched and reburnt

 

im just thinkin ap 25,i just reburn BO and it worked,abgx patched it with the new challanges

ugh, I still pay a guy to flash mine for me. Maybe I should just learn to do it myself. I don't want to pay him to flash to OFW then to update, then to flash to lt 1.9

Depends on your drive. Flashing a drive can range from novice to expert in terms of skill. Things are becoming easier these days with things like the Lizard, but the ease of access comes with a steep price of course.

 

Does this firmware allow backups to be played? like Cod BO and Halo Reach?

Also it says that it is recommended that you re-dump the key? how can you re-dump it because cant you only do that with the mra hack or whatever that is? and for patching backups does it automatically update the ap2.5 data for the iso?

As long as you know the dvd key already or have the dummy file from a previous flash/dump then you can just spoof it to the new FW and flash.

As for AP 2.5 games, they will need to be run through ABGX again so that it can update the AP2.5 patchs, this is true for ALL AP 2.5 GAMES not all games.

 

So just wondering for the lazy.

I won't need to update to 1.9 until there are more AP 2.5 games past the 6 or so that are out now? I don't use live but don't want to get my console flagged for w/e reason. I just want to use backups and would prefer to not open it now and then have to open it again for 2.0. It's inevitable but if games don't start changing over to 2.5 yet then maybe I can get lucky for a few months?

if you're planning on staying off live then there is no reason to update your FW or dashboard.

sorry i have one noob question!

i have lt 1.1+ and didn't update latest dash update, now i want to go to new dash and lt 1.9, my question is i have to update to new dash then to lt 1.9 or vice versa? and sorry for next question, is it fully safe on live with lt 1.9 and new patched disks? sorry what is OFW? Is it Old Firmware or something else?

flash OFW (original FirmWare) this is the stock MS firmware that would be on an unhacked retail dvd drive, update your dashboard and then flash LT+ 1.9

1.9 is as safe as we can get, I am online now and have no problems playing me re patched black ops backup

 

I'm interested in the answer to this as well. Is there a way to work out which OFW we use? Does it matter?
