Hi all, maybe this question is asked before, but i cant locate it. So here we go: I converted an AVI file to an MPEG with TMPGEnc, so far so good. But now the MPEG file is twice the size of the AVI file, so it wont fit on a disk. Do i need the original ripfiles to splitt the movie, or is there another way?
    Thx a bunch :)

you need to parse the files with something like DVD Maestro before you can burn.
Try using Chapter Xtractor as well for chapters and then Mux the film with DVD Maestro and then Burn.
File should then be less than 4.7 GB

you have an mpeg file, but what do you want to do? DVD, VCD? If you want to burn back to dvd, you should encode in TMPGEnc in Elementary Stream or ES for short. It will create an m2v file for reauthoring. You should be able to demux the mpeg into a m2v though, so all is not lost.
