Hello. I am running XP MediaCenter with a Geforce 7300 LE vid card and an AthlonX2 3800 and 2gb RAM. My screen looks great and color is gorgeous on every webpage, photo, program, etc, but when I open any type of video file there is little to no color at all. Most files show up as very very slightly colored but some are just completely black and white. Any ideas why this would happen? I've tried various codecs and players and nothing has improved the problem. Also tried updating vid card drivers. No luck so far. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Try turning off hardware acceleration on the video card. Right-click on desktop >Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot.
