Hey Im new to this forum and I am in need of some assistance.
I have wireless internet, its a dish that points to a connection tower and the connection is through a router. I can sign online, but it never allows me to play an actual live game. Ive tried Halo 2 and Counterstrike. I am clueless, ive searched the net looking for possible solutions but I am hoping someone here can help me out.

I appriciate all those who take time to read this
A speedy response would be much appriciated

    Thanks,
    XdadX

the dish tower might not be the best way to go.. like you can only sign on if you have dsl or cable.. not dial-up ect.. i don't know what the dish thing would classify as but it might not "support" enough of the connection.. even if it did work ud probably get bad connection.. lag out.. ect.. everyone gets lag and stuff though.. its just part of the fun.. send me an IM or reply and let me know about the dish thing.. it all must be your connection..

Hey thanks alot for your reply. The dish points to a tower for a highspeed internet connection. Its as fast as regular cable. I live out of town and cable doesn't run to the area im in. Im just not sure what it is that makes me unable to play. Again, thanks for your reply it is much appriciated.

i dont kn ow what to say, i always thought it was best to use like a modem or a router .. but if you know it can be done your way check your settings in your xbox... like check to see if you have your settings on automatic in your xbox not manual when you are at the troubleshooting screen.. that makes me sometimes not play.

Otherwise i dont know what else to tell you
