    Guys and Gals,

Does anyone have any insight into why this might be happening?

I have yWeb 2.1.3 running on Commando_6 with VLC 8.6 installed. When I view the test stream from NASA it works fine (although takes a while to load) but when I go to watch the TV I just get the traffic cone, never a channel...

    Any thoughts?

    Update:

Tried using LiveView through FireFox 2 with VLC mozilla plug-in from 0.8.6a...

99% of the time I get a black screen with "no video", but *very* occasionally I get and picture but no sound. I've read as much info on this as I can but nothing seems to help.

I've looked at the ucodes and I'm running 0014, not 001a - this was quoted as 1 possible cause...

So, I suppose the question is: Does anyone else have this problem, and if you did and fixed it, how???

Or: does it just plain not work.

yWeb is the web interface to the Commando_6 image (well, the one I have anyway), so if you type http://<ip_of_dbox2> then you'll get access to it

From the 'lol' I'm not sure whether you're taking the p*ss or not...

It would be really good to be able to watch the TV on my laptop over the network on the web, but I can't seem to get it to work. A bit of constructive help lwould be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming that anyone running the commando_6 image on their dbox will have nhttpd running and also YWeb, which is the web interface to the dbox (developed by some very nice German chap) It essentially allows complete web control of the dbox, including the ability to watch what is currently on the dbox, change channel, view EPG, schedule recordings, etc., etc.

Am I the only person that is trying to use this??

Nope. I have tried this as well as it would be a useful feature. Unfortunately I too get the orange traffic cone.. I've tried changing settings but all without success.. Any further ideas would be much appreciated!..

Out of the box, no. There is no hard drive on a Dbox2. However, it's possible to install a hard drive so that, with a compatible image, you can record TV on to it. Have a look here: http://www.dboxservice-hallenberg.de/ide.php
