what happens if you try connecting to efnet and joining the room via a IRC program such as mirc?

just connect to one of the efnet servers. then on the main 'home' page, type in /join #afterdawn360

 

i cant connect i keep getting....

what browser are you using manu?

Try firefox. I just tested it out with that and it works

that's a network ban.. your ip is on some network banlist running on one of the servers..

this is why the clever money stays the hell away from efnet.. apart from the real nasty remote exploit people who can and will do script injection through either java or an irc client.. they can be avoided.. but not by n00bs..

ta for the address.. I will join using an invisible name and have some fun. at least if you do the 360 stuff you are taking all those "i can't be arsed reading a sticky" asshats off us... why not expand and make it "afterdawn console stuff" and do the psp losers as well?

Well, have fun, but considering all scene development is done over efnet, this would be the place to be.

Sorry, but you're also spreading pretty bad information. Just because you connect to efnet does not make you "vulnerable" to anything.

In a nutshell, since you obviously need some explanation, the only way something could be exploited, is if you are using an exploitable client.

Considering there aren't any right now for the app, or most clients the users are using, it's safe.


As for your suggestion making an all console channel, I think it is a good idea. Once my server gets back online, I'll get the bot setup to help in one.

 

just so everyone knows, we moved the room to #afterdawn now. this way we can encompass more than just the 360. we are currently working on getting some of the 'leaders' of the Wii and PS3 section to assist us in the room for their consoles. we are also bringing in support for the iphone.

and an open challenge to all is to find the hidden keywords..... i dare you to find them.

Java is fine though. If there are any errors, it would by on your end. Try reinstalling java.

If it still doesn't work, let me know.

 

Java error was resolved by trying diff browser, do you think the IP banned issue I keep getting is due to my ISP (whom I work for)
