    hi i have this system.

    http://www.afterdawn.com/hardware/product_details.cfm/2569/starview_the_box

how do i push an image onto it ?

so far i have booted the system to the ok screen and used a db9 to db9 cable and then run a program called v4.03_051005.exe and doubleclicked the .bin file and hit download.

progress sits at 0% for about 5 mins then fails.

am i using the right method ?

    thanks.

i've read and tried all that and it doesn't help.

i still get flash fail when using the .bin file at 0%

what mode does the box need to be in .. do i need to do anything on the RCU ?

do i need to change any settings for my COM port ?

    thanks.

You will find a tutorial at the link marked Starview at the bottom of my post 2nd line, the box is better left on the ON position, also if you go to Eamo's FTA Library at the bottom of my post you will find updated firmware A/U for the UK if that is your location, this is the one you want The Box UK Fix Ver 4.55 051208 and you will find it in The Box Folder Then Firmware and there it is at the top, click in and DOWNLOAD, you will need Winrar to unzip it. Then if you go into Starview in Starview 1 folder and then Documentation you will find a comprehensive guide to flashing, download that for more information 2nd from the top.
