locking xbox hdd

i have installed a new hdd in my xbox and set it up to work... when the chip is enables it works fine but when chip is off it doesnt... this is because the drive is unlocked... how do i go about locking my hdd to the xbox

 

therein lies a mystery?? retail dashboard requires the drive to be locked,, just tinkering with this as i write..try looking in system settings (system management from ***dash) to see security enabled, if not then you need to lock it from the flash screen(blue) for more info visit the llama in minneapolis,,,good people, good info, hope that helps
