I was successful in the decryption and the shrink - only i had to disable some streams to fit - then when i went to write to disc this message 'Logical block address out of range' almost instantly appeared. The blank disc is still completely empty. (did you need the name of the dvd, and the complete error message with all of the 000 or is this enough)If I have missed any info you may have to give me a list of the usual information that should be in any post thanks megs009
it sounds to be like bum media, but set decrypter to create a log, try again, then paste it here, at the very least i'll see your burner's firmware revision and go from there...
I 17:10:35 DVD Decrypter Version 3.5.4.0 started! I 17:10:35 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 17:10:35 Initialising SPTI... I 17:10:35 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 17:10:35 Found 1 DVD-RW! Is this what you ment. this is all that the dvd decryters log has in it. one thing i did forget is that the movie was still too big for the size of disc but there was a heap of interviews that i didnt mind cutting off. does this make a difference? megs009
ok let's try this - download this (free) - http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm use this program to identify the media you're using, paste it here, also near the top of the program it lists the name of the dvd burner and it's firmware revision, just paste or type the whole line here..
