I've been burning games for a long time, I use good quality verbatim and write with a speed of 1x. I have a good new sony DL burner and I've been using this for all my games. I have noticed that my DVD's are purple backed, and I'm not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing. Before I had a DVD+r only burner so I had to buy purple backed but I have a normal backed DVD-R. The problem in general when I burn games are, is that the load times are always a lot longer than the original, and they scratch with the smallest amount of dust. This means that the load times will be longer with a small scratch and I have to reburn the game. Is this a problem for everyone, or should I go to use the DVD-Rs instead of purple backed DVD+R's Sorry if this is the wrong thread tho post it in.

hiya ive heard that its best to burn at half the max speed of the disk as burning them too slow does cause problems which could be why its loading slow.

Okay, so the best to get, would be an 8x verbatim/taiyo yuden and burn at half the speed. Okay got it. Although I have 16x which I read wasn't too good, I'll just use what I have and suck it up :)
