I've made back-ups of two newer games, Darkwatch and Killer7. Both take an extremely long time to start up after I load them using Swapmagic. I've been using Memorex DVD+R discs and I have never had a problem until now. Someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. These load times are unbearable!

I got long load times on some dvd's as well. I never noticed any correlation other than it depends on the media code being used and if it's - or +. Unfortunately, alot of this involves trial and error to see what your ps2 likes and doesn't like.

I'm gonna try DVD-R's and see if they read better. Do you think it has anything to do with the speed I burn the games at?

Whenever I burn backups i burn at 2.4x
Any faster and i sometimes will get errors. Im willing to wait a few extra minutes to insure it burns correctly.

I probably should start burning slower too. I use 4x TY's and they burn at various speeds even depending on the software I use! They should burn at near 8x, but no matter what seed I set it at, they burn at around 4x anyways. At this point, I think it's the computer that is the culprit.

I always use 8X DVD-R for games, usually Philips
    Memorex is just bad media
And burning at 4X should work just fine.

don't burn at 2.4X because most burners don't like that, either burn at 2X or 4X. I personally reccomend 4X, thats what i use and it works fine for me
