I know this has been discussed on here before but When I try and rip and burn a cvd it takes forever. Im talking over and hour to rip it and 45 min to burn it. I just bought a pioneer dvr-r10d. When i looked under my device manager it did not list a secondary it had 2 primary . The dvd-r is set as a slave. I need some help this waiting is getting old quick.
    thanks guy

Your DVD burner should always be set at Master, have your ROM or CD burner set as Slave. Also check to see if your DMA is on. Another thing that could be slowing you down is mal/spy/adware. Run a remover for those. I reccommend Ad-Aware. And defrag your HD that could also be slowing you down.

I don't see how your burn could be slow since you get to choose your burn speed? What are you burning at? 2x?

I set both of my drives to cable select. I reinstalled the driver and it is still just as slow. I am not sure which drive is my dvd because in the manager they both look the same. I ran a spyware program and it didnt find anything. Any more ideas?

Shut down whatever you dont need running, especially Spyware Doctor if you have it installed, it REALLY slows things down
