    Hi there,
If your real picky on quality, I'd say buy the original :)

If quality is a must, I think most people will suggest using

The FilmMachine and use CCE as the encoder.

I use VSO DivxToDVD to convert all my stuff, but not real picky on quality. I think quality is awsome with DivxToDVD, but some "Experienced users in video" say it's not a nice as what the CCE encoder can do !

    My 2 cents...

ive been doing alot of searching around and it seems to be universal that cce is the best/fastest decoder(in most opinions)

i have never heard of filmmachine and will have to look into that

thx for your reply and keep them coming if you have something to add

    Hi aowen512,

I'm also new to this, but i've been using avi2dvd with the HC encoder and its been working pretty well. I cant recommend the CCE cause i haven't used it. I think the quality you achieve is more down to the quality of the original avi file than anything else. But as i said, i'm new to this so what do i know.

    Good luck mate.

    Merry Christmas.
