Hello everyone, I am trying to find a laptop but there are so many options I don't know what is worth the money, and which to choose.
Here is what I know I want in it:
    Windows 10
    i5 or i7
    8gb ram or more
    Thin
    Lightweight
    Portable
    Touchscreen / hand written notes
    Able to Code on it
Run Linux or at least a virtual machine
    decent battery life
    Needs to look nice
No bigger than 15inch screen would prefer a 13inch or so.

A lot of reviews I see recommend the Surface Pro 4 but to get an i5 and 8gb of ram its almost like buying a gaming laptop.
I wouldn't mind getting it but I feel like it might be over priced?
I need to be able to code, security work, and draw, and take hand written notes.

Let me know what you all think.
    Thanks!

Samsung and Asus both do a great Ultrabook, <13" screens, core i5 and varying spec, should be more than enough for your needs.
Sorry I don't have any links to hand but should be simple enough to source new/used from the usual outlets.

also the Surface 2 or 3 should be cheap enough now if they're an option (if not too small)

problem with thin lines laptops whether apple or windows is most likely no optical drive, ram & ssd becoming part of motherboard so no upgrading or easy repair\replacement.

You might wanna add Lenovo Yoga 900 in your comparison list
It wins in many aspect such as battery, will last full day, ultra-portable, Slim, light, style, but the display isn’t perfect
