Looking to buy a fan for a NVIDIA GEForce2 card. Anyone help?

    Looking to buy a fan for a NVIDIA GEForce2 card. Anyone help?


    The current one is noisy as hell!

    Can anyone suggest anywhere where i can buy a fan that will do the job?

    probably is noisy as fan needs to be lubed

    yes as i do it all the time on cpu, psu, hd, case & video card fans. take the card out & remove the 4 screws holding fan to heatsink. flip fan over so looking at base, carefully remove label as you'll need it later. once label is removed, should see fan shaft base. carefully put a drop or 2 of 3in1 oil into area around shaft, spin & push up & down the fan to work the oil in & spins smoothly & quietly. clean all oil from base that the label sits on as the oil destroys the label adhesive. if label is no good when 1st removed, use a piece of electrical tap not hockey stick tape or masking tape. than put fan back onto heatsink, screw it in, plug card back it & power up system & see how quite fan is

    3 in 1 oil, is that something like WD40?

    Is that a US thing...im in the uk. :)

    don't use wd40, 3in1 oil is a multi purpose oil. i have one in my hand right now that holds 88.7ml
