Background: I have some TV programs I recorded on my computer using ATI TV VE(PCI) TV card With ATI's Multi-Media Center software, recorded in MPEG2. Using Pinnacle Studio 8, I successfully edit-out the commercials and create VCD's that play in my Standalone DVD.

Here's the problem-at random intervals, the audio will stop and pickup again a moment later. It's almost as if the mute button on the tv remote were pressed on, then off. However, this is not the case. I have narrowed the problem down to Pinnacles rendering process during the creation of the VCD. Somehow, parts of the audio are lost during this phase.

Any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Dan

I've found the solution: I downloaded and installed the latest beta patch (8.5.8) from pinnacle and set my system back to its stock speed of 1Ghz. Although I'm not certain if overclocking was the problem.
