Do a factory reset, turn off from the back switch and back on again. Rescan and turn key emu back on. Make sure you do the scan from the direct feed.

Sorry to drive you mad but what's the direct feed? I reset, turned off emu, switched off the box switched back on and auto under chorus, switched emu back on still have only 83 channels

Direct feed is without any splitters. Make sure you are plugged into the Cable In RF socket on the back of the box.

You dont need manually code entry for The Box. However try this, menu, press 1570 on remote and press default key. Exit out to Sly sports and let it update. Then try a rescan.

Could you also press menu and system info and post what it says please.

The firmware is fine. Make sure your RF connection on the coax lead is OK and it is not loose.
