I use SolveigMM WMP Trimmer plugin for lossless trimming of AVI, WMV, ASF, MP3, and WMA files loaded to Windows Media Player without any quality degradation. But this program currently does not support *.mpg files...
Anyone know of a similar LOSSLESS trimmer for *.mpg files?
    Thanks!

The best mpeg editer is videoredo dvd suite it does frame accurate editing with no reencoding. It also can edit an entire dvd movie with no encoding. But it's expensive. It's what I use to edit my media center computers recordings and it does an excellent job without losing quality or video/audi sync.

But you can also try the free avidemux 2.4.3 it's mainly an avi frame accurate editor but it also does mpegs, just make sure the video/audio is set to copy and the format is set to mpeg that way it won't reencode.

How about VideoReDo Plus 2.5.4.512, will this do the job as well?
    Thanks!

Yes video redo plus has the same mpeg editing engine as the videoredo dvd suite (only difference is the suite can edit dvd's without reencoding).

As long as your mpeg clips are less than 30 minutes long, the demo of video redo plus can do the job for you. The demo doesn't leave a watermark it just limited to 30 minutes per clip.

AVIDeMux can do MPG too. It is limited to 'I' frames, so has about .5 second resolution.
