I have the box Super and suddenly I turned it on and most of the channels are missing. What comes up is "data is being updated..(0%)" on the ones that are missing.Help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help but I now cant update the box. I can't get the firmware to download it says downloading but stays at 0%. I have checked the ports and that seems fine. I followed the instructions and have tried a number of times.Any advice?

Are you sure you have a null modem cable and not just an ordinary rs232?

Not quite sure what you mean I just dowloaded the GTROM Super 8.02e and opened it.selected "app only" and hit download having checked that the ports are correct "com3".

Yes that is all you need to do it is an all in one loader, no bin file to loader, you just hit download. If you are using an Adaptor which it seems that you might be, with you mentioning the COMM ports - and you definately do have the correct COMM port assigned, then why not try a new download just to rule out any currution to the file, it is worth a try. ..........

The best thing that you can do at the minute is to bypass the damn Adaptor, get the box to a friend or anyone that has a Standalone PC with the correct 9 pin serial port on the back and you will have no problem at all.
