Last week while the box was idle lost Pioneer-109 drive connection. The drive is connected, but not shown on window. Checked driver, seems ok. The box is Intel MB, Itel4 2.8 CPU, RAM 2 Gig, O/S Win2K-PRO P-4. Haas any one a suggestion? Thanx.

I'm not sure about windows 2000 pro. If it's close to xp,you may try going into device manager under cd/dvd rom drives. Uninstall drivers for that pioneer drive and reboot. XP will automatically hook it back up. I'm not sure if W-2000k does this automatically?

    Maybe it'll help?

No it didn't help. Perhaps I used the wrong description for the problem. The drives are disconnected, checked the the registry with reg. mechanic., also checked ide it is working. Changed drives and all is working. Suspect MS disabled the drives, or corrupted the registry. Bastards.
