lost iPhone 3G and data plan?

    I am doing all the research before I jump in to get an iphone.

    Lets see within weeks of buying an iphone 3g from AT&T with $30 data plan and a new 2 yrs contract.....

    My iphone gets lost/stolen...and I can't find it.

    If this happens, my only choice would be to use my stupid old phone when a new SIM CARD that AT&T will give me.

    What will happen to my $30 data plan? will they take it off since old phone does not use any data?

    Will AT&T charge me extra for anything else?

    I do not plan to get out of contract or anything...I have been with AT&T for so long now.

    call at&t they can tell you that sorry not trying to be dum or anything

    or get insurance on your phone, and when you lose it, you get a new one....
