didnt know where to post this but here we go just recently bought a hp pavillion elite pc quad core 2.4 4gb ram geforece 9800gt graphics 500gb hd which came preinstalled with vista home premium, i bought an upgrade to vista ultimate 32bit and 64bit aswell i went ahead with the 32bit upgrade which went through ok but now ive lost all the hp software that was originally on the pc for example the pc has an inbuilt slot for a external 500gb drive and a button on the front for easy backup basically you press it and it backs up anything thats changed on the system straight to the drive but ive lost the hp software preinstalled does anyone know if you can download this from hp as i havnt had much luck in doing so also this is prob for another thread but has anyone had much luck upgrading 32bit vista to 64 bit without a clean install?
Hi, I believe I found the backup software from HP for your personal media drive. Although it's provided by Roxio? Does that sound right? Here it is http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...pv-47198-1&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3226521 It seems to apply for 32 bit or 64. I'm afraid I don't have an answer for your other question about upgrading. I've heard that a lot of drivers are yet not available but after browsing HP's site it appears that quite a few are. And I haven't done that upgrade myself yet so I don't have any advice for you maybe somebody else will know more about that. Good luck!
