No Picture after Using Nero Vision 4 to edit out a small section. I have a movie with 3 minutes of content right at the start that I want to edit out. Unsure of which Nero component to use for this task (thanks Nero for making it so complicated), I chose Nero Vision 4 - Make Movie, and browsed for the movie on my HDD and added it to the project. I then made several attempts to figure out how to cut twice in order to edit out the 3 minutes of continuous content at the start of the file. At first all I had left was the first 3 minutes, until I did the cutting in the exact opposite way I intuitively thought it should work. After two hours of processing, I was able to hear the result of this small editing job, but I could not see any picture. The cut was almost in the right spot (Nero makes you cut in 3/10th frames instead of the more accurate 1/10th), and all the sound was there, but the video was gone. What did I do wrong? Using Nero 7 Ultra Edition Enhanced Edition, what is the easiest way to edit video files (in this case a one hour mpg movie), leaving most of the remaining movie file intact, in sync, and at the highest quality available?
When I edit, I normally use the slice tool to cut the video where I want. The other way is too confusing. If you click on the counter, you can highlight the last number in the timecode and be fairly precise using it to get where you want. You should be able to restore the cut part if you want, and try again, or just start over. This program is not like Adobe's Premiere or some other more expensive editing software, but it seems to do a fairly good job with easy stuff. It can have problems with some .avi files, and although I think the last update helped, it still may be having some problems.
