Hi all . I am ripping with DVD fab and burning with Nero 7 . I find after I have burnt the disc I dont seem to get low volume when I watch the resulting DVD ? I can hear it ok but I have too turn the volume up high to get to the volume I listen to the TV normally any ideas ?
Where does the problem show initially. Is playing the original DVD on the PC ok. Playing the ripped files on the PC, ok? Saving the output from Nero to a folder and playing on the PC? Playing the burned DVD disk on the PC? Playing the burned DVD disk on a standalone? I assume that Nero is being used to get the files down to fit a standard DVD. If the problem shows up after that step, try using DVD Shrink instead. As a last resort you can demux the shrinked files and load the audio into Audacity and increase the volume;save the file and mux with the video - but if it happens with all the rips, it's hardly practical.
Hi thanks for your prompt reply . I must admit all I do is rip with DVD fab and then burn with Nero 7 using the DVD video option to make a back up copy of my DVD. I very rarely play my DVD back ups on my computer ? I notice the decrease in the volume only when I play the back up on my stand alone DVD player ?
Nero is probably the problem. It's likely re-encoding the DVD. Try using DVD Shrink to fit it to a DVD 5 and ImgBurn to burn it.
