I just recently converted some VOBs to Mpeg-4 videos in Nero Recode, but when I play them back, the volume is insanely low. I have to turn up my speaks all the way just to hear it. Is there a way to either... A) Increase the volume of the Mpeg-4 files or, B) Increase the volume in Nero Recode on the VOB files to be converted?
If you chose 5.1 audio for your movie then this usually happenes. I'm not 100% sure why but I can guess that the lower volume (amplitude) is easier to encode and save bitrate. I have not found a way to increase the volume however. If your burning the file back to DVD with NeroVision you can use the volume setting in the edit movie portion and increse it before it goes onto the DVD.
