I'm trying to backup a DVD whose video stream is over 5G and the audio stream is 2.5G(!). It uses LPCM which I've not seen before. Since DVD Shrink does not compress audio, it is unable to shrink the video enough to fit onto a DVD5 disc. I read a suggestion to run it through DVDShrink twice, but I expect the resultant video quality will be quite poor. Is it possible to rip the audio stream, convert it into a more compact format and then recombine it with the video? If so, what program and/or process do I need to do?
