Hi, I have backed up my blue rays to my hd using anydvd hd, then with the use of tsmuxer converted the files so the HD audio content down converts. and the file is still m2ts. When I try to play the videos in both powerdvd ultra and windvd9 all i get is the audio track and not the video. I can play the files in vlc and I get the audio and video but the playback is very choppy. Can some one help to guide me in a direction of correcting the problem so i can view the files in powerdvd ultra ( a program with excellent play back.)

First, try remuxing the same video, audio & subs (if needed) to a *.ts file. See if that allows proper playback. If so, then VLC may need reconfiguring: have never used it, so don't ask me.

Then, download Graphedit, extract & open Graphedit.exe. Go to 'file>render media file' & browse to remuxed (*.ts)file location. This will load what codecs are used for for this file-type. See if it plays properly within Graphedit. Can't test if M2TS files work correctly within GE, as I'm encoding at present.

My two players of preference are Zoomplayer & Media Player Classic. Both can be configured to allow proper playback of M2TS files, assuming your issue isn't codec related.

You would need to configure both to set the codecs for playback.
