Just got my sandisk 1g mini sd card to run on my M3. I formatted it and ran the update file and things were ok. I then put an mp3 on there and tried moonshell. It worked but sounded very choppy then stopped after 5 seconds.
I removed that and put a game on the disk and a couple of pics to try. This time around when I went to open the folders on the DS,I found several folders that I didnt put there and they were all in a jiberish language. I put back in the computer to delete but it wouldnt let me. I tried to reformat but again would not let me. Now it wont even recognose that there is a disk in there! Is my mini sd now stuffed? Any help would be great, thanks!

seems to me like a cardreader problem... try another card. if you are using an external usb cardreader, make sure you first insert a card into a cardreader and then cardreader into the pc.

    any luck?

Still no luck. The card reader Knows there is a disk in there but the computer says there isnt.It just says "please insert disk into drive"
    Thankyou for the reply.

If you do return it, get a Kingston or RiDATA card. They work great for me.

you may want to update the drivers before returning it. my card reader didn't read my 1GB card until I updated my drivers

The card reader I have works fine. I have tested other cards through it and they are ok. The sandisk miniSD I was using did originally work (for about 10 minutes) then died on me. I will look into getting other cards suggested. I thought getting this M3 was going to be a simple task. Its turning out to be a headache and an expensive one at that.
Thanks to everyone for their help.

The M3 is a simple task, you were just unlucky with your miniSD purchase.

I actually bought the SD cheap off ebay from Hong Kong. hmm....Maybe thats why it stuffed up. Still havent heard back from them yet about them replacing it. Mini sd can be expensive here in australia. Especially if you purchase it at a shop.
Anyway, the hunt continues and I think I will give ebay a miss this time. It's so frustrating when you have all equipment and you cant do anything with it. I guess I can do some brain training until I find a SD card....sigh

Too bad Newegg doesn't ship worldwide, otherwise I would've suggested just getting it there...
