Has anyone here ordered an M3 Cartridge from winsunx? I'm looking at the M3 Mini SD cartridge, and it says "Chinese" version:

    http://www.winsunx.com/list.php?mod=739

According to the description, the menus are in Chinese only. I assume this means that the user interface on the NDS/Gameboy is in Chinese. (I intend to share this between my DS Lite and my GB Micro).

    So a few questions:

    1) Is it true that the menus only come in Chinese
    2) Can you flash it with an English firmware?
    3) If not, are people actually using this cartrdige with a Chinese UI, and how hard is it to understand?

    TIA!

Actually it's not exactly the same (i got the CF version), and I didn't buy it from winsunx.

    But anyhows:
Yes, though the menus on the M3 are accompanied with icons, so it wouldn't be very hard to navigate (in fact I use a theme that dosn't use text labling for the icons.)
Sort of, it isn't worth it though, as there is only a very old english firmware that was hacked to work, so fi'd just say no.
Yes there are people who use the GUI of the chinese M3, and as I said the main menu does use icons, so i doubt it would be that hard to understand.

I knew you would have the answer, mr_hanky! Thanks!

I guess my final question is this: The M3 adapters from winsunx all say "Chinese version". Are there any other kinds out there? Since winsunx is so much cheaper than the other stores, I'll probably just live with the Chinese menus, but I'm still curious. Does an "English version" even exist?

Yes, I have an english version for a start.
I think winsunx imports chinese M3's to keep there prices down.

I got my english M3 from www.divineo.net if that helps, though it is probably more expensive than winsunx

Have you done this yourself? as anyone with an M3 who has tried to do this should know, the firmwares are encrypted, you cannot install an english firmware on a chinese unit.

So is what the techguy said earlier true (before he edited his message)? That I can only use the Chinese version of the M3 Adapter to run NDS Roms (no homebrew or GBA?)

I thought the only difference between the Chinese and English M3 Adapters was the language....

EDIT: Nevermind. I see that techguy was talking about the "Professional" versions of these M3 Adapters, which do not support GBA Roms:

I'm interested in the regular one, which seems to support everything:
