I ordered an M3 Real. It should come next week sometime. I've seen a lot of posts about dpg video issues. The website advertises playing dpg files so I assumed I needed to convert my mp4s and other to dpg. So I downloaded dpg and converted a bunch of them for my daughter last night. First Question: Will the M3 Real FW/media player play them or do I need to convert to something else or get different homebrew? Or has the latest M3 Real FW fixed video issues? Second Question: Will any DS homebrew play other formats? (trying to minmize converting between my PSP and the DS). Third Question: How do I play these newly converted dpg files on my PC to check them (ie, WM player, Real, Quicktime?) Thanks mbs
First: I believe it should without issue. Second: DSVideo plays files in .dsv format http://dsvideo.recoil.org/features but I don't think that does anything in terms of saving you conversions or identifying a format that will play on both PSP ad DS. There is a .dsm format and a .gbm format, but I doubt you want to go there, either. Third: I'd like to be proved wrong but I think the answer is you can't do that. DPG plays on the DS, I believe.
FYI - I found an application called DPGPlayer v3.2 on a Korean website doing google, it took a bit of paging through my first search results on dpg files though, then I had to find a download. It worked but I had to uncheck Avisynth, not sure why as I had the correct version. Anyhoo....i did get to see the videos on the PC
