I just picked up a m3 real cart. I havent loaded anything on my micro sd card yet. But when i put in the m3 cart, the ds does not detect anything. Im atleast supposed to see the gui interfac right? Do i have a bad cart?

Looke like you have a bad cart. Try pushing in and out a few times if still not recognised or logo/ icon not seen its not gonna work. Also check its authenticity by looking at manufacturers on the box / packaging. Real M3 DS cards are made by m3adapter.com

This is a common problem with all flashcarts, but the M3 does suffer badly.

You need the paper shim trick - add a piece of thin card or folded paper and put it between the M3 and the back of the DS (pushing the contacts closer together. This should solve the problem.
