Hi All, Have been doing a lot of reading about the M3/Superkey for the DS Lite and I'm planning to get one but I have a question: How well does the M3 handle save games, if at all ?? I have a PassMe Key and a Flash cart which I've used with the old DS, and you had to have an original DS game with the same save size as the NDS ROM you were playing for a save to work. Is there any restriction like this on the M3/Superkey with an SD Card ? Thanks All
The M3 saves the gamesave to the SRAM of the M3, when you next turn on the M3 after playing on a game it then backs up the save data from the SRAM onto the CF/SD card, when you play a game the M3 automatically reloads the savegame back into it's SRAM.
Sounds perfect - I presume you can then back up the savegames from the SD Card and keep them on your PC? Do the DS Commercial ROMs need patching for the M3/Superkey ? And I assume they work on the Lite as well as the regular DS ? Is there much of a difference between the SuperKey and a PassCard 3 ? Any recommendations on which one I should go for ? ANd finally - can you recommend an online European shop to get them from ? Sory for all the questions !!
yes, backing up the games is easy, just drag the files form your SD/CF card. yes the commercial roms need patching, however this is easily done using the gamemanager, the gamemanager creates a save file, and copies the rom to the SD/CF card for you. Yes, it works in exactly the same way on the lite as it does on the phat DS. the only difference between the superkey and passcard3 that I know of is know made them. the M3 team made the Passcard3, the Supercard team made the Superkey, form experience I would say getb the passcard, as the supercards are usually of poorer build quality. http://www.divineo.net is the only place i've used thats european, I often use http://kicktrading.ca but they are not european.
