I bought a new motherboard and CPU. It runs fine for a while after I fixed XP to recognize the new hardware. After a few hours I get blue screen MACHINE_CHECK_ERROR. Then on reboot the bios can't find the hard drives. Is there any way to run any diagnosis to find exactly what the problem is?

run check disk, try resetting bios defaults, turn off ide in bios if your running just SATA,try running recovery console by booting from your windows disc.(windows install then repair).Check your jumper on your hard drive.Uninstall the IDE controller in device manager and reboot the computer to reinstall.Hope any of this helps.
