I just bought a sony rdr-vx515 dvd recorder/vcr combo, and on some movies on vhs that i want to put on dvd it says it is protected. Now im new at this but ive been reading and i was wondering now if i buy the dimax dvd red pro, this will get rid of the macro thats stopping the copying? One more question is there a dvd combo out there to buy that doesnt have the macro? I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks

Yes the "DVD Red Pro" will remove the Macrovision Copy protection on your VHS Tapes but I don"t know how you would connect it in between the VCR and the DVD Recorder when the VCR and DVD Recorder are the same Unit...

All DVD recorders will detect Macrovision as it is the Law so you will be hard pressed to Find one that has it disabled....

    Cheers
